Case Description:    In 1989, John Gustavson had to decide how to protect the crops on his 1,000-acre Minnesota farm from grasshoppers. Half his crops had been destroyed in 1988 and the source was land belonging to another farmer, who did not want to spray, begging the question of the rights of landowners to protect their property and livelihood.
