Case Description: This case focuses on the course of action a
professor must take when a student appeals for the right to work
independently, rather than with a group that initially rejected him.
This case addresses misperceptions which arise through inadequate
interpersonal communication. It also deals with leadership, learning
and reinforcement as well as group dynamics. A member of a study group
inculcates misperceptions through lack of communication.
