Short Term Research Grant Application 2013

Maximum Value: $5,000.  

Deadlines: October 15 and March 1

Purpose

To complete small projects or to provide "seed money" to assist in the development of a study that leads to a larger project and a proposal to an external agency.

Who Can Apply?

Full Time Faculty only.

Application Requirements

• You may only hold one Short-Term Grant at a time.
• An external grant application for further development of the project must be submitted within 1 year of completion of the Short-Term Grant. 
• Normally these funds are to be expended within twelve months of receiving the grant. When the project is completed, a report must be filed with the Vice-President: Research. The report from one grant must be submitted to the Research Office before the Grants Committee will consider a subsequent application. 

Eligible Costs

• Purchase of non-disposable research equipment up to a value of $500 is allowed under this grant
• Conference travel is not an eligible expenses under this program.
