UU101: Perspectives on Sustainability

The best way to predict the future is to create it

Never was it more important for younger generations to think about what type of collective future they want to create for themselves. The decisions being made today will have a profound effect on your future and the future of global society. Perhaps you may feel that the complexity of the challenges and the choices we are facing is overwhelming.

To help you tackle that complexity and those challenges, we invite you to join a new and innovative course being launched at Laurier in the Winter 2014 semester. Using a truly interdisciplinary model, the university-wide course, Perspectives on Sustainability (UU101), provides a thorough introduction to issues of sustainability, and also to the innovative and empowering ideas being put forward around the world to address those issues. You will learn how sustainability applies to your life and to potential career choices. Most importantly, you will learn about it in a fun and engaging format. The course is open to undergraduate students from any faculty and department.
