The Canadian Public Economics Group (CPEG)

This year's CPEG will be hosted by Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo and will be take place at the School of Business and Economics at Laurier in Waterloo, Ontario.

CPEG started in the early nineties as a Canadian venture and then expanded to include economists from all over the world. We also welcome participation from graduate students. CPEG sponsors sessions at the Canadian Economic Association meetings and holds its annual workshop in November. Presentations focus on topics in all aspects of public economics including but not limited to public spending and taxation, trade, education, migration and political economy.

Papers authored by graduate students are especially encouraged. If you are interested in presenting at CPEG 2011, please send a paper or a two-page abstract in PDF format to the scientific committee (submission@cpeg.ca) by July 15th 2011. If you would like to participate as a discussant in the conference, please email the local organizing committee (organizer@cpeg.ca). A decision on the acceptance of papers will be made by the scientific committee. Authors will be notified by 29 July 2011.
