Each year, the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) chooses one university student as the CAFCE Student of the Year.
If a co-op student from Laurier did an outstanding job for you, please consider nominating him or her for the CAFCE Student of the Year Award.
The winning students, their institutions, and employers will receive national recognition as a result of these awards. Each winning student will receive a CAFCE award of $500 and the Emery-Dufault award of $500.
Nominees are evaluated on their job and academic achievement, contribution to co-operative education and involvement in extracurricular activities at school and/or in the community at large.
If you would like to nominate a student, please complete the employer section of the nomination form found at this link, and prepare a supporting letter. (Before completing the form, you may find it helpful to review the sample nomination package, which includes material from nomination packages of past winners.)
Please let your co-op coordinator know the name of the student you wish to nominate, or send a message to email@example.com. The Co-op Office will complete the nomination form, institution letter and biography, and ask the student to prepare his or her supporting documents.
The deadline for nominations is usually in mid-January.
