How to Apply and Register
Fall/Winter LORIS Registration Instructions for Part-time Students
Step 1. Students who are new to Laurier (returning students proceed to step 2) must apply for admission through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). Admission information, including Letter of Permission, is available online at www.wlu.ca/admissions. The OUAC form can be found in the Forms section of this calendar.
All registered students will automatically be confirmed by the Registrar’s Office in their current academic program on LORIS, for registration in the next academic year - Fall 2010/Winter 2011/Spring 2011. Year 1 students must declare their specialization or they will be placed in the general program without designation. Please refer to the LORIS Information Page for specific information. Note: You will be able to make program changes on LORIS from March 1, 2010 to April 29th, 2010.
ALL students who are returning to Laurier following an absence in study must confirm their program. If you do not have a time ticket, submit the appropriate Program Selection Form or Request for Reregistration at the Records Forms site. We will process this form within 1 to 2 business days.
Paper registration continues to be available using the Intent to Register form or the Course Change Request form. Return either form with your Online Learning Term form to the Office of the Registrar. Printable forms are available online from the forms section of the Office of the Registrar website: www.wlu.ca/registrar and the Online Learning website www.wlu.ca/onlinelearning.
Step 3. When you register online, you must fill out your Online Learning Term Form at the same time. Read the instructions for completing the form carefully, especially when selecting your exam centre. You may choose to pick up your Media and supplementary materials from the Centre for Online Learning or from the Laurier Brantford Bookstore, or have your materials shipped to your home (signature required).
Please submit the Online Learning Term Form to request your material. Requests for shipping are subject to a fee of $10 for Canada and the United States, and $25 for International Locations. Please note, if you select the Laurier Brantford Bookstore as your shipping location, you are responsible for verifying that your materials have arrived and picking them up. All textbooks and course packages may be purchased from the WLU Bookstore.
