How to Apply and Register
Fall/winter LORIS Registration Instructions for Part-time Students
The process for registering using LORIS is dependent upon students having confirmed their program selection and can be done by part-time students in one of the two following methods;
Step 1. Students who are new to Laurier (returning students proceed to step 2) must apply for admission through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). Admission information, including Letter of Permission, is available online at www.wlu.ca/admissions. An OUAC form can be found in the Forms section of this calendar.
Please note if your status is unclassified or post-degree, you should compete the Program Selection Form - Faculty of Arts. On that form, you will need to indicate "unclassified" or "post-degree" in the Current Degree Program field, select "Other" as your Degree and then click on "n/a" for Year.
As an unclassified or post-degree student, you will then be able to register after July 10th as outlined in the information found at this link; http://www.wlu.ca/page.php?grp_id=1365&s_id=1462
Be sure to register before July 14th, to avoid late registration charges.
Paper registration continues to be available using the Intent to Register form or the Course Change Request form. Return either form with your Distance Education (DE) Form to the Office of the Registrar. Printable forms are available online from the forms section of the Office of the Registrar website: www.wlu.ca/registrar and the Distance Education website www.wlu.ca/disted. Step 3. When you register online or by paper on the Intent to Register form or Course Change Request form, you must fill out your DE Form at the same time. Read the instructions for completing the form carefully, especially when selecting your exam centre. If you register online, please complete your DE Form online. If you register by paper, submit your DE Form with your Intent to Register to the Office of the Registrar. |
