Admission to Laurier Brantford

Admission to the Brantford Campus is governed by the rules and regulations of Wilfrid Laurier University. The applications are administered through the Admissions Office at the Laurier Waterloo campus. Refer to the section Application Procedures in the Undergraduate Admissions chapter.

Applicants wishing to be considered for a program at the Laurier Waterloo campus must apply directly to the specific program.

Students who complete the Mohawk programs included in the Laurier/Mohawk articulation agreement with a B (76-80 percent - Mohawk) average will be granted admission into the Contemporary Studies BA program and be granted 5.0 junior miscellaneous transfer credits.

Students who complete Conestoga's two-year Print and Broadcast Journalism program with a B+ (75%) average will be granted admission into the Contemporary Studies BA program and be granted one year (i.e. 5.0 credits) advanced standing. Students admitted under this agreement will receive 5.0 transfer credits, including credit for CT/JN222 and CT/JN226 (or equivalent), and other courses as appropriate. No more than 2.0 credits will be granted at the senior level.

Students who complete Conestoga's three-year Print and Broadcast Journalism program with a B+ (75%) average will be granted admission into the Contemporary Studies BA program and be granted 7.0 credits advanced standing. Students admitted under this agreement will receive 7.0 transfer credits, including credit for CT/JN222 and CT/JN226, and other courses as appropriate. No more than 3.0 credits will be granted at the senior level.

Students who complete Conestoga's two-year General Arts and Science program with a B+ (75%) average will be granted admission into the Contemporary Studies BA program and be granted one year advanced standing (i.e., 5.0 credits). Students admitted under this agreement will receive 5.0 junior credits.

Students who complete Conestoga's Post Degree/Post Diploma Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management, and a previous diploma with a combined average in the two diplomas of 75% or better shall be eligible to enroll in the Honours Organizational Leadership program at Laurier Brantford. These students will receive 5.0 senior credits as specified in the paragraph above for their Post Degree/Post Diploma Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management, plus up to 5.0 additional credits at the junior and senior levels depending on the student's initial diploma. The specific credits that comprise the additional credits for the initial diploma shall be determined by the registrar of Wilfrid Laurier University, in consultation with representatives of the organizational leadership program.
