Wilfrid Laurier University opened its Brantford campus in September 1999. Laurier Brantford offers a core curriculum in contemporary studies and a concurrent BA/BEd program which it offers in partnership with the Faculty of Education at Nipissing University (students that graduate from the BA/BEd program are certified to teach in Ontario).

Laurier Brantford offers a range of other majors, minors and options which include the children's education and development option, honours criminology, honours journalism, honours organizational leadership; majors in anthropology, communication studies, English, geography, history, philosophy, psychology, religion and culture, sociology and women's studies; and minors in anthropology, communication studies, criminology, English, geography, global studies, history, human rights/human diversity, indigenous studies, journalism, organizational leadership, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion and culture, sociology and women's studies.
