Laurier is committed to providing a safe and healthy work and educational environment for all of its employees, students and visitors. Laurier's Board of Governors inducted Environmental/Occupational Health and Safety within its official university policies, and ultimately, the EOHS department is entrusted to establish strategies, policies, standards, systems and programs to sustain a culture of due diligence. In doing so the EOHS staff must initiate and participate in the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies and procedures, and work with the community to achieve due diligence in a manner which vitalizes the University's culture, mission and objectives.
