Regulations for Combining Honours with Secondary Programs
Honours students may choose to organize their elective courses to
meet the requirements for a combined honours program, option or minor
in a subject other than the honours discipline(s). Additional courses
may have to be taken to fulfill these requirements. General major
designations other than Contemporary Studies, are not available for honours students.
Students combining honours disciplines with secondary programs must meet the following regulations:
- All requirements for the combined honours program, General Contemporary Studies, option or minor, must be fulfilled. (Refer to specific option requirements and Regulations Governing Minors.)
- The
student must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 4.5 on all courses of
the minor subject. If an option or minor requires a higher GPA, that
GPA applies.
- An honours student may receive designation
for more than one Laurier Brantford option and/or general Contemporary Studies. An honours student combining their Brantford program with a program at the
Waterloo Campus, should refer to the Regulations
Combining Honours with Secondary Programs within the appropriate faculty for
relevant regulations. Note that where a combined program states a 100 level
credit limit, the program with the lower limit applies to the combined degree.
