The Office for Student Diversity is committeed to fostering diversity by offering a welcoming and supportive environment for all Laurier students.  We also aim to nurture a learning and student centered environment that respects differences in culture, age, gender, gender expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, physical ability, sexual orientation, and religious afflication. 
The Office for Student Diversity works together with the Rainbow Centre, Women’s Centre and Student Diversity Committee to provide safe space, educate, advocate, and celebrate the uniqueness of every student at Laurier.  This is achieved through events, training sessions & awareness campaigns.

Be You. Be Proud. The WLU Rainbow Centre is dedicated to enhancing the university environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer individuals in the Laurier Community through awareness promotion, education, advocacy and support.
GLOBAL is the weekly discussion and social group run by the Rainbow Centre to discuss LGBTQ related issues, events and experiences. These meetings are intended to provide a fun, supportive, positive, safe environment for individuals from the spectrum of sexual and gender diversity within the Laurier community, including Allies.

The WLU Women’s Centre is a student service aiming to provide a safe space to support women’s unique and shared lived experiences.  They strive to build a community and give voice to people and ideas recognizing and challenging gender inequalities on the WLU campus.                      
In an effort to instigate change, this woman-positive, woman-centered space offers an extensive collection of academic, community and informational resources, as well as opportunities to actively engage in awareness campaigns.

Student Diversity Committee

The Student Diversity Committee is an initiative within the Office for Student Diversity and is composed of student leaders and staff that represent many different student service groups and cultural and religious campus clubs on campus.  The main objective of the Student Diversity Committee is to educate the WLU community with respect to diversity, and to celebrate diversity through training, marketing & event planning.
