We also aim to nurture a learning and student centered environment that respects differences in culture, age, gender, gender expression, race, ethnicity, national origin, physical ability, sexual orientation, and religious afflication. The WLU Rainbow Centre is dedicated to enhancing the university environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer individuals in the Laurier Community through awareness promotion, education, advocacy and support. Location: TA220 (Theatre Auditorium) The WLU Women’s Centre is a student service aiming to provide a safe space to support women’s unique and shared lived experiences. They strive to build a community and give voice to people and ideas recognizing and challenging gender inequalities on the WLU campus. The Student Diversity Committee is an initiative within the Office for Student Diversity and is composed of student leaders and staff that represent many different student service groups and cultural and religious campus clubs on campus. The main objective of the Student Diversity Committee is to educate the WLU community with respect to diversity, and to celebrate diversity through training, marketing & event planning. |
