Academic Events OfficeManager, Academic Events: Deborah Currie, ext. 3800 The Academic Events Office serves the university community through the presentation of academic-related programs and services that support learning, research, scholarship, creativity and personal development. Playing a central university role and working primarily with the academic deans and the departments they supervise, as well as with Laurier's academic research centres, the Academic Events office is a unit of the Vice-President: Academic. Programs and services include, visiting guest lectures, panel discussions, workshops and academic-based conferences; events featuring high profile participants/attendees that require specific protocol and security measures; cultural enrichment programs that can be incorporated with the academic curriculum (ie. visual arts, film, literacy), advisory and support services for administrative and employee events and projects. |
