Honours BA Applied Economics with Management Option

The Management Option is available to students registered in honours Applied Economics programs. Students normally apply at the end of Year 2. Students must apply by April 29 of the year they intend to enter the program using the LORIS online program confirmation. Entry into the program is competitive and decisions are based on the applicant's overall GPA as of April 30.

To be eligible, a student must have a minimum GPA of 6.0 in BU111 and BU121. A student must also successfully complete BU205/EC205 or equivalent statistics course prior to admission to the program.

The Management Option consists of the following 5.0 credits (10 courses: 6 required and 4 electives):

BU223 - Fundamentals of Finance  or BU383 - Financial Management I (refer to Note 2)
BU227 - Introduction to Financial Accounting
BU288 - Organizational Behaviour I
BU352 - Introduction to Marketing Management

Any three of the following:
BU231 - Business Law
BU247 - Managerial Accounting
BU354 - Human Resources Management
BU362 - Building and Managing Products, Services and Brands
BU383 - Financial Management I  (refer to Note 2)
BU385 - Operations Management I
BU395 - Operations Management II
BU398 - Organizational Behaviour II
