Honours BA Applied Economics
The program consists of 20.0 credits. A minimum of 11.0 and a maximum of 15.0 credits are in Economics and Business. At least 3.5 credits must be senior economics electives. In addition, students must take 2.0 senior electives which may be in Economics or Business. Not more than 6.0 credits may be at the 100 level. Refer below for other program requirements.

Progression Requirements:
Progression is based on a
cumulative average of all courses taken. Progression to Year 2 requires
a GPA of at least 5.00 in EC120 and EC140 and an overall GPA of at
least 5.00. Progression to Year 3 and Year 4 requires a cumulative GPA
of at least 5.0 in Economics courses and a cumulative overall GPA of at
least 5.00. Graduation requires a cumulative GPA of at least 7.00 in
Economics courses and a cumulative overall GPA of at least 5.00.
- Students in Honours Applied Economics who have not completed
all the courses specified for a particular year of their program may
proceed to the next year provided that they satisfy all GPA
requirements.
- A student who has successfully completed all the
courses of the Honours BA in Applied Economics but who has not achieved
the GPA required for graduation may elect to receive a General Bachelor
of Arts degree in Economics. The overall GPA and other relevant graduation requirements for a general degree must be met. (Refer to Faculty of Arts chapter.)
- Students in the
Honours Applied Economics program are not eligible to apply for the
Co-operative Education Program in the School of Business &
Economics.
- Students may not take EC381 or EC481 for credit in the Applied Economics program.
