Honours BA Journalism in Combination with another Honours BA Program

The combined Honours Journalism program consists of 20.0 credits of which not more than 7.0 may be at the 100 level. The program must include a minimum of 6.0 and a maximum of 8.0 senior credits within the Honours Journalism program. Students must complete the required skills and lecture courses (5.0 credits); and one of JN250, JN251, JN252, JN253; and at least 0.5 additional senior journalism credit.

The combination honours program does not require a secondary area of concentration. Students in the program must complete the Contemporary Studies (CT) major.

Notes

  1. Students completing the honours combination program in journalism are required to complete a minimum of a 0.5 credit Online Learning course.
  2. Students who are required to take research methods and statistic courses in their second honours program should seek academic advice to avoid duplication.
