Withdrawing from all courses and graduate program (appropriate paperwork is required) during this time period, there is no tuition charge

3 Winter term begins
9 Final day to drop winter term course(s) with no tuition charge but remain registered (students must remain registered in at least one course) (part-time MBA students only)
Jan 10 - Jan 16 Part-time MBA students who drop any course(s) in this timeframe (even if replaced with another course or courses) will be assessed 10 percent of the tuition fee for the dropped course(s)
15 Application to Graduate form and fee due for Spring Convocation without penalty); see Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees for Graduate Programs
16 Final day for late registration and for adding winter term courses
16 Final day to withdraw from the program at 10 percent tuition charge
Jan 16 - May 1 Late penalty fee applies on Application to Graduate forms received for Spring Convocation; see Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees for Graduate Programs
Jan 17 - Mar 5 If you withdraw from a course (or courses) (part-time MBA students) or from your graduate program (all graduate students) during this time period, you are responsible for 55 percent tuition
30 Final day for submitting final (post-defence) copies of dissertation/thesis/major research paper (as applicable to the graduate program) to Graduate Studies Office to receive full refund of winter term fees
30 Last day to drop first 6-week course(s) which began January 3 without academic penalty (failure)
31 From this date until the end of first 6-week classes in this term, if you drop a first 6-week winter term course that began January 3, you will receive academic penalty

20 Family Day, university-observed holiday
Feb 20 - Feb 24 Reading Week, no classes
 
March, 2012
5 Final day for submitting final (post-defence) copies of dissertation/thesis/major research paper (as applicable to the graduate program) to Graduate Studies Office to receive partial refund (45 percent) of winter term tuition fee
5 Final day for withdrawing without failure from winter term courses and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55 percent)
6 From this date until the end of this term, if you withdraw from your program, you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100 percent tuition
19 Last day for dropping second 6-week course(s) which began February 14 without academic penalty (failure)
20 From this date until the end of second 6-week classes in this term, if you drop a second 6-week winter term course that began February 14, you will receive academic penalty (failure)

2 Last day of classes for qualifying year (undergraduate) students
Apr 5 - Apr 26 Final fall/winter session and winter term examinations for qualifying year (undergraduate) students (qualifying-year students are advised not to make travel commitments during this time)

9 Winter term and fall/winter session classes end
10 Make-up Friday class for Good Friday

1 Final day to submit application for Fall convocation (late fee and application fee apply); see Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees for Graduate Programs. No applications will be processed after this date
