14 Application deadline for students requiring "Application for Admission" for part-time studies for spring term. Distance education students are encouraged to register early. Eligible registrations received after this date will not be guaranteed for delivery of materials prior to the beginning of the term. Courses may also be cancelled or closed
14 Early registration discount ends for Spring term (including distance education)
21 Final day for students registered in distance education course(s) to submit a distance education form requesting the required materials for those courses to be shipped at no charge. Shipping charges apply after this date.

30 Distance Education Office is closed for year-end inventory. University remains open

9 Final day to drop 12-week spring term course(s) but remain registered with no tuition charge
May 10 - May 16 If you drop/withdraw from course(s) during this time period, you are responsible for 10% tuition (assessed at 10% of the course rate, refer to the Schedule of Tuition Charges for Cancellation/Drop/Withdrawal and/or Fees)
16 Final day to add spring term classroom courses
16 Final day to drop 12-week spring term course(s) or withdraw at 10 percent tuition charge (tuition charge assessed at 10% of course rate)
16 Final day to return spring term distance education textbooks for refund
16 Final day to register for spring term distance education course(s) and submit a distance education form (pick-up of distance education materials at the Waterloo campus only)
May 17 - Jul 2 If you drop/withdraw from course(s) during this time period, you are responsible for 55% tuition (assessed at 55% of the course rate, refer to the Schedule of Tuition Charges for Cancellation/Drop/Withdrawal and/or Fees)
19 Victoria Day, university-observed holiday, no spring term classes

30 University floater holiday, no spring term classes

1 Canada Day, university-observed holiday, no spring term classes
2 Final day to drop 12-week spring term course(s) or withdraw without failure and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55% of course rate)
3 From this day until the last day of classes in this term, if you drop a 12-week spring term course or withdraw, you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100 percent tuition
28 Make-up spring term Monday class for Victoria Day (Monday, May 19)
29 Make-up spring term Monday class for university-observed Canada Day holiday (Monday, June 30)
30 Spring term classes end. Makeup Tuesday class for university-observed Canada Day holiday (Tuesday, July 1)
