Mar 1 - Apr 30 Current Year 1 students who have not declared an honours specialization, and any students who want to make a change to their program, should do so during this time period in order to be able to register online during the June/July registration period.

30 LORIS available to add/drop courses for winter term (including second six-week courses beginning February 23)
 
November, 2008
7 Application deadline for students requiring "Application for Admission" for part-time studies for winter term. Distance education students are encouraged to register early. Eligible registrations received after this date will not be guaranteed for delivery of materials prior to the beginning of the term. Courses may also be cancelled or closed
8 Late registration charge - winter term (including Online Learning - formerly distance education). Avoid this charge by selecting courses prior to this date.
21 Deadline to apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) for full-time studies beginning in winter term
21 Final day for students for students registered in distance education courses to submit a distance education form requesting the required materials for those courses to be shipped at no charge. Shipping charges apply after this date.

31 From this day until the last day of first-six week classes in the term, if you drop a first six-week winter term course that began January 5 or withdraw, you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100 percent tuition

6 Final day to drop course(s) or withdraw from two-term or 12-week winter term course(s) without failure and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55% of course rate)
7 From this day until the end of classes in this term, if you drop a 12-week winter term course or withdraw, you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100 percent tuition
20 Final day for dropping second six-week course(s) which began February 23 without failure and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55% of course rate)
21 From this day until the last day of second six-week classes in this term, if you drop a second six-week winter term course that began February 23 or withdraw, you will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100 percent tuition

3 Winter term and fall/winter classes end

Apr 8 - Apr 29 Final examinations (fall/winter and winter term) - Students are advised not to make commitments during this time (i.e., vacation)
10 Final day to confirm your program for fall/winter 2009-2010, using LORIS
10 Good Friday, university-observed holiday, no examinations
11 Holy Saturday, no examinations
27 Final day to return winter term and fall/winter term distance education videotapes, video CDRoms and DVDs for refund
29 Winter term and fall/winter term ends
30 Distance Education Office closed for year-end inventory. University remains open
30 Final day for current Year 1 students to declare an honours specialization and any students wanting to make changes to their program.
