Sexualities: Identities, Cultures and Politics

This course will focus on issues related to sexual identities, representations, embodiments and political movements. Conceptualizing sexuality in terms of dynamic relations between sex, gender, race and class, this course will use Feminist and Queer theories to analyze dominant institutional powers and ideologies alongside alternative cultural practices and perspectives.
