Journalism and Social Change
This course engages students actively and reflexively in journalism production across cultures and constituencies. Undertaken from critical theoretical understandings of identity, language and society, students will explore and create works of journalism that acknowledge and experiment with conventional journalistic methods. They will focus on the writing process and practice different story forms (investigative, explanatory, narrative, editorial and profile writing). (Cross-listed as HR212.)
