LY301
Evidence and Procedure
0.5 Credit
Our Parliament and courts have established rules which govern how evidence is collected, what evidence is required to charge and convict, and the proceedings which must be followed in an accused’s journey through the Canadian criminal justice system. Rules of evidence and procedure are subject to challenge, and so in this course students will be introduced to leading Supreme Court cases, which have established the rules regarding evidence and procedure that currently operate in Canada.
