Studies in backgrounds to the psalter with special attention to selected psalms of various types. Along with original meanings and settings of the psalms of Israel, emphasis will be placed on their potential for modern people, church and society, not least in the areas of pastoral care and source materials for preaching and the deutero-canonical works of The Wisdom of Solomon and Sirach.
