The transitional placement is a four-week placement at the Professional Development School site providing a bridge between the academic and field experiences of the professional year and entry into the teaching profession.  The transitional placement provides the opportunity for teacher education candidates to hone newly-acquired skills, develop new skills and pursue further inquiry into self-defined problems of practice.
