JN212/HR212
Journalism and Social Change
0.5 Credit
This course engages students actively and reflexively in journalism production across cultures and constituencies. Undertaken from critical and post-modern theoretical understandings of identity, language and society, students move beyond modernist notions of journalism’s role in democracy. Students will explore and create works of journalism that acknowledges and transcends barriers through a process of effective communication. (Cross-listed as HR212.)
