The United Nations in the 21st Century

This course will focus on contemporary global issues and the United Nations as an institution at the centre of a broader system of global governance designed to address them. The course will have a special emphasis on human rights and will also address other global issues such as peace and security, economic development, workers’ rights, the AIDS crisis, and environmental protection. {RW}
