Byzantine and Early Islamic Archaeology

A study of the archaeological evidence associated with Judaism, Christianity and Islam in the Near East, including synagogues, churches, mosques, domestic architecture and material culture. The remains will be examined chronologically, from the collapse of the Roman Empire to the end of the Abbasid period. (Cross-listed as NE226.)
