A brief review of Old Babylonian followed by readings in Standard Babylonian and Assyrian, including one or more of the following: the Middle Assyrian laws, inscriptions of Sargon, the Annals of Sennacherib, Ashurbanipal's Campaigns against Egypt, the Descent of Ishtar to the Netherworld, and the flood narrative from the Epic of Gilgamesh.
