Building Bridges to Success

Building Bridges to Success aims to provide students with a post-secondary experience to enhance confidence, study skills and career success.

Students will:

  • gain first-hand knowledge about university expectations
  • study in a supportive environment
  • experience university life through involvement in extra-curricular activities

Building Bridges to Success offers academically qualified students who may be facing additional barriers to post-secondary education the chance to experience university life and learn about their opportunities after graduation.

With support from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation, all opportunities in the Building Bridges to Success program are free for qualified students!

Upcoming Building Bridges to Success opportunities for students in Waterloo region include:

September - December 2014

Building Bridges University Credit Course - this program gives students an opportunity to gain university credit while completing their final year in high school.

February - April 2015

Student Success 101 - this certificate-based preparatory course is focused on helping students develop the skills they need to be successful in post secondary studies.

If you would like to learn more about this program and to tour the Laurier campus, there will be an applicant information session on Wednesday May 21st, 2014 in Room 101 of the Bricker Academic Building.
