The challenge of building peace in the aftermath of war occupies an increasingly prominent place on the international agenda. Tim Donais’ research focuses on the dynamics of post-conflict peacebuilding and specifically on the complex relationship between locals and internationals in peacebuilding environments. His work explores broader issues of authority and legitimacy in the making and implementation of policy in the aftermath of conflict, with a specific focus on contemporary Bosnia, Haiti and Afghanistan.
