For more than two decades, Laurier Instructor Andrew Thomson has been dispelling the notion that Canadian history is boring. He is a firm believer that the word ‘story’ is in the word ‘history’ for a reason, and uses storytelling strategies in the classroom to engage students. Thomson’s students quickly learn that Canadian history is not only interesting and important, but also helps them understand the country in which they live today.
