Brenda Murphy works on understanding how to develop and enhance disaster resilience and emergency management when dealing with problems like climate change, nuclear waste and e coli water contamination. As an environmental geographer teaching at Laurier Brantford, she teaches about environmental sustainability using interdisciplinary approaches. Her current work focuses on the adaptation of the maple syrup industry to climate change, the improvement of emergency management capacities in rural municipalities and the siting of nuclear facilities.
