Kari McArdle’s clinical research interests include the areas of depression, anxiety, and anger management in children and adolescents. Understanding ways to reduce the barriers to healthy functioning in single mothers in poverty is also among her research interests. A SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship supports McArdle’s academic goals which include the development of a strong theoretical knowledge base and the development of practical research skills.
